How to transfer money? (online)

Transferring from DBS Bank

digibank Online allows you to perform Overseas Funds Transfer to over 150 countries in more than 20 currencies anywhere, anytime.

digibank Online

1. Log in to digibank Online with your User ID and PIN.

2. Select Transfer and click on DBS Remit and Overseas Transfer. Log in with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.

3. Under Overseas Recipient, click Transfer beside the recipient you wish to transfer to.

4. Select the Account, Currency and indicate the Amount you wish to transfer.

5. Provide Authorization and click Next.

6. Follow the 2-Factor Authentication Instructions and click Submit to complete the transfer.

Note:

  • You will need the name, address, bank details (and SWIFT/BSB/sort/IFSC code if any) and account number/IBAN of your recipient. Other details (such as a registered phone number) may be necessary for transfers in some currencies.
  • Please ensure accurate information and sufficient funds in your debiting account for the processing of the transfer. In the event of missing information and/or insufficient funds, DBS Bank reserves the right to reject the application.

  • Upon successful transfer, an eAdvice will be sent to your registered email address.

digibank Mobile

1. Log in to digibank Mobile with your User ID and PIN.

2. Select Transfer/PayNow from the menu followed by To Other SG/Overseas Payees.

3. Select the Payee you wish to transfer to overseas.

4. Select your Account and indicate the Amount you wish to transfer.

5. Indicate the Purpose Of Remittance, Payee Residency Status and Promotion Code if any.

6. Provide Authorization and click Next.

7. Follow the 2-Factor Authentication Instructions and click Submit to complete the transfer.

Timing and Limits for Overseas Funds Transfer

With DBS Remit, you can now perform same day transfers to selected countries within the cut-off times.

  • Indonesia (in IDR), Cut off time for same-day online transfers is 2 PM, transfer limit S$40,000 daily.

Change Overseas Funds Transfer Limits

Change your limits easily via digibank Online. The default daily transfer limit for Overseas Funds Transfers is set at S$1,000. You can increase this up to S$200,000.

Funds transfer performed through digibank Online and Mobile are secured by transfer limits, and they can be customised through digibank Online:

1. Log in to digibank Online with your User ID and PIN.

2. Select Transfer and click on DBS Remit and Overseas Transfer.

3. Log in with your 6-Digit iB Secure PIN.

4. Under Transfer Limit, click on Update.

5. Select the New Daily Limit you would like to set.

6. Complete the 2-Factor Authentication Instructions if prompted.

7. Click Submit to change your Overseas Transfer Limit.

Note:

Overseas Funds Transfer Limits:

  • Minimum: S$1,000 equivalent
  • Maximum: S$200,000 equivalent

Transferring from OCBC bank (online)

Via Mobile banking:

1. Login to mobile banking.

2. Tap on the menu bar on the top left of the screen.

3. Tap on Transfer funds.

You can transfer to an overseas account:

a) to an account overseas

b) to a foreign currency in Singapore (other bank)

Transfer funds to overseas via Telegraphic transfer

Via Mobile Banking:

  1. Login to mobile banking.
  2. Tap on the menu bar on the top left of the screen.
  3. Tap on Transfer funds.
  4. Tap on Overseas.
  5. Choose the funding account, beneficiary account, remitting currency, enter transfer amount before you Slide to Submit.
  6. Follow the mobile banking instructions to complete the overseas funds transfer.
